2. more than just prawning

Last Thursday, Trevor and I went prawning somewhere near Punggol. Just a normal 2 hours prawning session that we paid $20 for, we not only bring back 7 fresh prawns but also, lessons that lecturer couldn't teach us.

It was our first time that day in Rivieria Prawning. We went with an excited and humble heart, ready to learn some prawning skills. However, least did we expect,
God had more for us.

There were this family who came before us and already reap some handful of prawns. At the back of our mind, we knew they were experienced. They came prepared. Being clueless about this entire prawning thing, they came forward and helped us when we caught our very first prawn. They taught us very patiently how to remove the hook from the prawn mouth without getting injured.

Come to think about it, it's very normal isn't it? Neh, it doesn't just end here. Throughout the whole 2hrs, they helped us whenever we look over. They put down their rods and gave us all their attention and attend to us. Not only that, at the end of our 2hrs by the pond, they showed us where to get our materials for BBQ-ing our prawns, they guided us even after the prawning session.

From this short 2hrs of prawning, God showed me through this family the importance of generosity. You don't need to donate big sum of money to help others. You can help others with the knowledge and skills that you have.

I've learnt to help others with what I have and leave a footprint in their life. Such simple act that they did, left a very big footprint in my heart and I want to carry it on :)

2. Let your words heal and not wound.
